PASTOR’S DESK

The Centennial Church family and I greatly appreciate you for taking out the time to visit our website, learn and witness what the Centennial Church is doing in partnership with God and one another to impact the world.  We actively engage the world by spreading God’s all-encompassing love, justice, righteousness and shalom.

What a wonderful blessing it is to share information about the ministry that God has birthed in me and in the life of the Centennial Church.  I’ve accepted the assignment to bring good news (eugelion) to the oppressed, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, release to the prisoners; and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor (Isaiah 61:1-2/ Luke 4:18-19 NRSV.)

My friends, the Church of today is in danger of losing its relevance. It’s our job as believers, carriers and partners with the gospel to continue to be that beacon of light, hope and reconciliation for generations to come. It's no longer good enough to be a church that relish in its beauty of brick and mortar.  However, the church must be willing to tell and show a dying world how the gospel and Kingdom of God can be presently active in redeeming and reviving lives and communities.

If you're interested in becoming an active Disciple of Jesus Christ and a co-laborer in this mighty mission with the Centennial Church, please consider joining the ministry.  We'll love to have you!   If you're interested in talking further with me about ministry and serving opportunities, don’t hesitate to contact me or my Administrative Assistant.

I do hope and pray that you'll bless us with your presence during one of our worship experiences and Christian education opportunities.  We’ll do our best to extend radical hospitality to you and your family.  Hope to see you real soon!

Remember, there is no place that the Spirit of God

will take you that the grace of God can’t keep you!

Be Blessed,

Pastor  D. L. Perkins, Sr., M.Div.
